Course Description

This course will explore experimental and computational Systems and Synthetic Biology principles. It will address critical challenges in human health, biopharmaceutical production, and bioenergy systems. The primary emphasis will be on understanding the structure, properties, and role of signal transduction and metabolic pathways in these applications. Additionally, the course will cover essential tools and strategies used in the emerging fields of whole-cell and cell-free Synthetic Biology to program novel behavior in cells or cell-free systems. This course will prepare students for advanced research positions and professional practice.
